Collection consists of correspondence, minutes, election campaign literature, publications, clippings, photographs, and tapes related to CA Democratic Party politics between 1948-67 and the California Democratic Council (CDC) during Carvey's years as president (ca. 1962-65). Also contains a 16mm. film titled, Year of decision, Carvey's notebooks from his presidency, and a substantial group of materials related to Democratic Party activities in the 46th Assembly District of CA from 1953-60.
